Hi Everyone! A big welcome to all the new readers!
Ah Summertime! It’s hot and lazy here where I live. Makes you want to lay about sipping cold drinks lying in a hammock with a good book, doesn’t it? Or better yet, take a long nap like Huey.
But most likely you may be tied up with taking care of kids out of school or your grandchildren for a while. Or on the road traveling. And that’s great.
But I bet part of you is itching to get up in your sewing room, to make something- anything! What’s a sewist to do???
What if there was a way to get you out of those hum drum, Summer doldrums in a fast and fun way?
Do you have an hour to yourself somewhere? Where someone doesn’t need you for something? Can you carve out 1 hour of ME time?
If you FOCUS and look at your weekly calendar, I bet you can. Focusing on your desired outcome, instead of why you can’t will give you more of what you want in this life. Sounds simple right? Too simple? Yes, it is and we want to make it more complicated, but the truth is if you want more time to sew and make things, you have to schedule it.
I’m a bit of a luddite when it comes to calendars. I use a good old fashioned big desktop calendar. If I need to take it with me, I simply snap a picture of it with my phone. That way when I’m on the go, I have my whole month in front of me.
Now I have a new invitation for you: take a focused hour with me.
- Use it to get clear on how to make your next project or current project.
- Use it to get some much needed technical advice on free motion quilting
- Use it to help you choose fabrics or colors for your piece
- Use it any way you want to help you be more creative and jump start a new idea
This is a new service I am offering for sewists who need a l little help. It’s for those of you who have always wanted to work with me, but aren’t ready for a full 6 months commitment (see below). Right now I only have a regular Monday evening time open between 6-9 pm. If you can’t make that time email me, and we can work something out for you.
I love to help my students take the fast track to learning all aspects of quilting. Just let me know how I can help by shooting me an email today at firstname.lastname@example.org. Or if you know you are ready to go, click HERE to make your appointment, and click on Fast Track Session.
And remember, you don’t have to be local to me- I have worked with students from all over the country by live video chat and it works!
Summer doldrums go away, let’s get in the studio and play!
Would you like to work with me one on one?
One of my private clients, Susan, has had her quilt, “Nature Takes Back Her Own”, accepted into the prestigious Houston IQA World of Beauty Show.
As part of our work together, I coached her on the making of this quilt. She was able to realize her vision to design, make and get her art quilt into one of the best shows in the world! How about you, are you ready???
Look into my 6 month Private Coaching Masterclass!
I want you to make the most amazing, original art quilts that you can. That is why I am now accepting private students who are serious about their creative expression in the world of art quilting.
