Dancing with Design-Composition for Quilters Starts Soon!

Hi Everyone! A big welcome to all the new readers!

LATEST NEWS:

Dancing with Design-Composition for Quilters, is a new online home study class I created just for you….

Many quilters think that the way to make great art quilts is to take lots of technique classes.  That is certainly one way, and it’s lots of fun too.  But the way most quilters get stronger at making good art, is by learning and practicing the visual language of art.  Then it doesn’t matter which technique or media you choose, your art will definitely be stronger.

So here’s what you get in the course to help make that happen for you:

  • 8 weekly lessons with specially designed practice exercises and video lessons, so that you get to apply the elements and principles of design in your own work.
  • Downloadable PDF tools to help you organize, understand and remember the lessons.
  • My constructive coaching feedback on your work and prompt replies to your questions so you improve faster.
  • Lively Discussion area where you can post pictures and get feedback from the group, so you don’t feel like you are working in a vacuum!
  • Small group size; I want to make sure you get the coaching and attention you need to really grow!
  • Access to my Private Reading & Resources List, these are some of the great books on design, great websites, and blogs, that I have found very helpful in my work and I want to share them with you.

Time is running short to join the Summer session of Dancing with Design-Composition for Quilters, the Home Study version.  While this is a home study course, I will be involved for the 8 weeks of it’s duration. So if you want my input, coaching and constructive feedback on your work while you’re doing the lessons, you’ll want to sign up for this now.

You can register right now and save your spot, then we will all begin on May 1.

The lessons will be available every week, one at a time, AND after the course is over, you will still have access to all the materials online.

The cool thing about a home study version is that I can offer it to you for only $97!!

But, but, but, I’ll be traveling!

I know lots of people travel in the Summer, but as long as you have wifi, you can keep up with this class at your own pace. I will be along for the duration of the course, to answer your questions and help with critiques.   After the course runs through to completion, the lessons will still be there for you to work through, even though my direct involvement will be done.

And I won’t have my sewing machine with me or my fabrics…

Fortunately, you can still do the activities with colored paper and a glue stick and scissors.  And then, you will have some great ideas to develop into fabric!
