FEATURE ARTICLE: Changing Your Perspective

I went to Asheville last week to work with my coach and mentor, Christine Kane, and many other fabulous, accomplished women.  It’s amazing what a change of perspective on everything can do.  Christine calls it re-framing.  Re-framing our thoughts, our surroundings, our life’s purpose, etc.  As artists, we all need to step back and examine what we are making, doing, and being.  Here’s some pics of the view from the Venue that illustrates what I mean:

Now check it out when I zoomed in on the crazy building art. It is Asheville, right?

And dogwood branches inside a glass covered table?  Aren’t the shadows lovely?

As Spring unfolds, I hope you are noticing all the small things around you.  So much inspiration, so little time!

If you couldn’t make it to Trig last week, here are a few pics for you: these are all for sale and many more.

Roxane is a full time studio textile artist and teacher with two girls and 1 fat cat.  She is a 2012 Niche Award Winner and exhibits her work all over the world.  Roxane enjoys traveling, knitting and most of all working with students who want to create their own fiber art, and not simply make other people’s patterns.  Her work is in several private collections and loves doing custom commissions.

If you and a small group of folks want a more private instruction experience, call me.  We can work out a studio workshop in my studio. Just drop me an email:  roxane@roxanelessa.com

  1. I love the pic of the weeping cherry (I think that’s what it’s called anyway)…. I could see you growing that into a most interesting quilt!
