I introduced them to classic color schemes and some wonderful books, like: The Quilter’s Color club, by Christine E. Barnes ( pg. 78 features one of my quilts).

And now to announce the completion of Blue Desert! I put the binding on completely by machine. Because I’m basically lazy, and hate a lot of hand sewing. But I think it looks clean and professional. In my next post I will give a tute on how I did that, if you’d like to learn that trick. Also, I have used some bobbin work on the vegetation using heavy threads. If you’d like to learn how to do that, take my ThreadUtopia class on Oct. 18 at Bernina World of Sewing. I haven’t come up with a retail price yet- my least favorite part. Anyway, here it is:

As always, I love your comments and feedback!
