So Grateful for Many Things

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to all the new readers!  I am so grateful for many new things in my life!  I have been practicing being grateful in my every day life, and feel happy every time I do.  Here’s a few things I am grateful for:

The joy of teaching my students and the trust they place in me to lead them.

My 2 beautiful daughters.

My healthy, strong body.

My new part-time job at the Bernina World of Sewing, and my co-workers.  What a great community of people!

My new article that just came out in Quilting Arts Magazine!!

My article is in the new Dec/Jan edition, and it’s about how I make my 3-D textile paintings, with instructions!  So now you can make one too.  I’m very tickled to be in my favorite magazine for the first time, so I hope you don’t mind if I toot my own horn a bit.

So that’s what’s new around here.  I hope you have a wonderful, safe Thanksgiving, and get to sneak in the studio for a bit of sewing….

Don’t forget, until Dec.  30, 2014 you can still sign up for Private Coaching at the old price.  You can sign up this year and start next year, and save $300.00!

I have been teaching my Private Art Quilting  Coaching program for over a year now, and my students are getting great results. And now the year is rapidly drawing to a close.  (How did that happen?)  If you are ready to close out the year with a bang, I still have a few spots open.

So if you choose to enroll in the Private Art Quilting Program between now and December 30th, you will get THIS year’s price, plus my new download-able tool: It’s Showtime! (Best Practices for Getting Your Work into Shows).

I’d love to coach you to make the amazing art quilts you have in your head.  Just hit reply  to this email and  let’s talk about it.

Students Say

A Private Coaching student recently said,

“It is well worth the investment.  I learned a lot of techniques that will save me time on future projects.  It has saved me money in the long run by using the right products and the correct procedures.

I tend to be an introvert and I got a lot of value by being able to address what I needed the most help with.  I tend not to ask a lot of questions when in a larger group …. and this worked out perfectly for me.

Most importantly …. you gave me the confidence that “I can do this now!!”

Thanks so much for all your help!!  You are a  talented fiber artist, a wonderful person, a great coach and I appreciate you sharing your knowledge with me.” ~Lisa C.

One of my virtual students from California  in the MAQG recently said,

“Just completed our 2nd personal coaching session. I am totally jazzed and ready to go to work! Roxane propels me forward at a greater speed than I would have moved, by confirming my ideas and encouraging me to reach for goals now instead of latter. She inspires me to go broader and deeper with my work.” ~Susan

Reminder, the next MAQG will kick off in January- so keep that in mind if you’d like to join in the fun.  If you have any friends who would like to jump in, invite them too!

Remember to look at the next Quilting Arts Magazine– I have an article in there!!! It will be the Dec/Jan issue.

What are you working on?  I love to see your comments and pictures.  You can head on over to my FB page and share some photos of your creations too!

Did You Know? That I am on Pinterest?  Did you know that there are many amazing art quilts and traditional quilts being pinned every day, just waiting for you to look at? Never before has so much inspiration been in one place.  It’s like having an art museum in your hands.  If you haven’t checked it out, there are many, many types of things being pinned. It’s super easy to get started.  You can take a look at my pins, which are organized on different “boards” HERE.  Once you are on that page, you can click on the Get Started Button to make your own page on Pinterest.  Then start pinning!  I can spend a lot of time on Pinterest, because it’s all visual.  And I have a feeling, you will too!

CUSTOM COMMISSIONS And don’t forget, I make custom commissions too! Read what my client Glenda had to say about her custom commission experience: “Normally, I would be anxious about commissioning someone to do a work of art such as this. However, I felt a connection to you when Leigh showed me your work. It resonated with me and when I met you, you seemed almost a personification of your work. I immediately felt comfortable with you and knew that what you would create would be stunning. And it is!” About Roxane Roxane-Web-Images-007 Roxane is a full time studio textile artist and teacher with two girls and 1 fat cat. 1. Congratulations, Roxane! My QA copy has arrived and is awaiting my attention. Can’t wait to read the article. I’ve paged through the issue and enjoyed all the beautiful pictures, of course. More power to you and your beautiful artistry!
