Hi Everyone! A big welcome to all the new readers!

NC Quilt Symposium Recap

Since I was at the  North Carolina Quilt Symposium last weekend, which happens once a year, and is kind of a big deal around here, I thought I would do a little recap.  I have taken classes over the years, and most recently I set up a booth to share my work and talk to other art quilters.  This year was lots of fun, and I enjoyed talking with many of you who attended!

In case you couldn’t make it, I have a picture of my booth and my BERNINA 770 QE.  I hauled that beauty to demo and show off its magical powers to one and all.  I finally got my Painted Morning glory class sample quilted in the process!  This piece has literally been waiting for quilting for years…

And here’s what my booth looked like:

Since I was manning my booth by myself, I didn’t get photos of the other quilts, but I would like to brag on one of my Private Art Quilting Mastery students who entered a new piece in the show.  I coached her on developing her idea, working on the design and balance of it.  But mostly it was all her work, and experimentation.  She chose the fabrics and did the quilting herself.  I love it’s whimsy and color play, don’t you?  It perfectly expresses her personality.  Well done, Robin!!

If you are curious about working with me privately, just shoot me an email and we can set up a time to talk about it.  During our time together, I will help you realize your vision for your art quilts by tailoring the sessions to you individually.  My clients often tell me that they learn to use the elements of design to create and critique their own work, resulting in a surge of confidence and know how.  You don’t have to live in Raleigh, because we can do the coaching sessions via video chat magically.  Just like Robin is doing!

I look forward to talking with you!

New 6 month Private Coaching Masterclass!

I have extended my private coaching program, from 3 months to 6 months.  I believe the transformation my students are looking for must take place over a longer period of time to have a lasting impact.

I want you to make the most amazing, original art quilts that you can.  That is why I am now accepting private students who are serious about their creative expression in the world of art quilting.  Take advantage of my 17+ years as a textile artist, and speed up your learning curve.
